friend, My wife is a Christian & she wears long dresses down to her ankles, & she has long hair almost down to her waist. But if a woman wears a dress down to their knee caps, That is OK anything above the knees, That is a NO, NO, We are not a Denomination, we are True Christians that came out of denominations, If you want to put a title to our beliefs, then it will be Apostolic Pentacost

I think that everyone is more successful at work if they dress the part, that is looking very put together and as attractive as they can. This goes for both men and women. Now as far as wearing skirts and dresses, I believe that women who go overboard (show too much cleavage, wear their skirts too short) are not taken as seriously because they are pushing the line of looking sexy versus looking professional. You want to look nice and professional but having your breasts showing I believe makes people take you less serious, more of a pretty face than an intelligent, competent worker.

I never wear skirts or dresses. I like them- but I just dont own many. I love jeans. I am non denomination. I wish I did own more long skirts though- I dress modest though. There is a lot of clothing today that I cannot stand.

I never wear skirts or dresses. Sorry, I'm just not comfortable in them. God looks on the heart. Rules of dress are made by those who can't get past the superficial. If you prefer skirts and dresses only, that's fine with me. I try to dress nice for church services, don't get me wrong, but I honestly don't get wrapped around the axle about what people wear to church.
I was saved, baptized in water, and baptized in the Holy Spirit in blue jeans. I was much younger then. I mostly wear nice slacks to church now.
I'm Assemblies of God.

I wear pants, jeans, leggings now back in fashion, skirts, dresses and anything I think will look nice on me. I'm Muslim.
Yes, we are discouraged to dress like men as well. But nowadays, wearing pants is not exclusive for men. I think these things change with time. In my country for example men wear thoubs (white dresses), so what am I going to wear to avoid looking like men!

No we don't do that. I go to a non denom church. The context of this verse is meant for a woman not to dress up "as a man". Women wearing pants does not a man make!

There sure are some ridiculous things poked in there over time to control the people, that's not what the message is about, see this is an example most non-christians use against us.
Pants are not evil

That was pretty much the bible passage I got to when I decided to search for religion elsewhere. I wasn't going to be one of those Christians who pick and chose certain verses to obey and then argue semantics on the ones I disagreed with.

That's insane. I'll never wear a skirt again if I can help it. It's time to move out of the dark ages.
