I am bipolar and excessive, compulsive and this time of year is really hard for me to get through and was just wondering how others coped?

I am not sure how many others are suffering depression, but if you are suffering from depression, please make sure to be around people during holidays. Being alone is the worst thing you can do when you are suffering from depression.

i suffer from depression too, and to be honest, i really don't know what to do to make it easier. i wish i knew. i would go with what the other person said about surrounding yourself with people...that is a very good idea because, being alone does not make things any easier it makes things worse. i used to love the holidays, up until september 11th. things just haven't been the same in the world since then...

I myself suffer from manic depression, OCD, and and eating disorder so I totally understand how you feel...copeing w/ the holidays can be Hell..especially w/ all the family members..I Just make sure i take my medication and get some time to myself..other than that I dunno.

i suffer from depression and i take my medicine and i just surround myself with my family and not anything that will get down in the dumps!!!
