I've learned that there is more bickering and hatred in this category than any of the others ... which is quite a surprise since this is the SPIRITUAL category!

My answers get about as many thumbs up as thumbs down because (again) the thumbs down fairies hang out in R&S.

Blessings ...

I've actually learned a lot about the folks who do not profess Christianity. I've been a Christian for 31 years, and it's no mystery that my friends are mostly Christian. I'm around all types of belief systems at work, but we agree to disagree and no one bugs anyone. No one really cares as long as we all get along and get our work done, etc.

What I'm getting at is that the folks with other belief systems are not monsters or evil or anything like that. Now, honestly, I already knew that, it's just that I never really discussed beliefs [mine or theirs] with too many non-Christians. So, I've learned about why folks believe differently or don't believe.

That's been interesting. I can say there's a few people in here I think about from time to time, and wonder how they're doing. I honestly miss SPOOKY and Jim Darwin, and some others.

I think I'm treated fine by the folks in here. I try to show respect for all, and no one has been mean to me. A few 'thumbs down' here and there is to be expected.

Wow, sorry, this is a long answer to a short question!!!!
Peace to all!

As a satanist, I am used to provoking some extreme responses with my answers, but I have been pleasantly surprised by the kind acceptance I have found in Y!A with the pagan users. Of course, most of my answers are so blatantly anti-christian that christians don't respond to them- but when they have responded intelligently it has led to some very interesting and rewarding conversations.

Most of what I have learned on Y!A I have learned not by reading people's answers, but by reading the kind of questions they are asking. It is a resource of incredible value- an anonymous forum devoted entirely to religious commentary- wow!

I have occasionally been dismayed by opinions I have read, but at least in this forum I am given equal opportunity to express my viewpoints. I think that's the most important thing we can do in this kind of venue- and something many 'mainstream' religious persons take for granted.

It depends on what the question is. The closer to the truth my answers are the more negative reaction I get from the Pagans and Atheists. The real culprits are the aggressive people who call themselves Christian , that teach a Gospel other than love. I have learned over all that very few people really know God.

I have learned that every faith out there has great people following it and not-so-great people following it. I've also learned that some people unfortunately are so deeply submerged in their religions that they're totally incapable of seeing things any other way, even when their understanding of things is just blatantly wrong. (For example, evolutionary theory and Big Bang theory do not necessarily eliminate a creator -- but people still don't want to hear it, so they reject those two concepts right from the start. That's a shame for me to see.)

I've received a little negative feedback to my answers from certain "fundies" here (you know, the "you're going to hell!" type) but overall I've met some great people here, Christian and non-Christian.

I have learned that there are many atheists around the world and we all have good reasons for being atheists. Whenever I feel that it may be easier to just conform I am given reasons for why I shouldn't.

That people are people no matter what or who they believe in
That some are just plain mean
That I get violation after violation for being nice but those who are crude are still around
and That my stance on God still Stands Strong

The harvest is truly great but the laborers are few.
God bless the laborers.
