I suppose they would - if they don't believe an afterlife exists they would have no fear.

Maybe I'm missing the point, but why would an atheist have a problem with a Ouija board? It doesn't have anything to do with the existance or non-existance of a god or god type figure.
I suppose you could make an argument for atheists not believe in anything period. .. I honestly don't know. That's an interesting question.

Why? Does God operate the sessions, is Ouija religious? Most Atheists would express an interest in such phenomena, seeking an explanation through reason/logic/ and science.

If someone was playing around with a ouija board, and asked me to give it a try, sure why not ? What does a stupid board have to do with atheism anyway ?
It's like asking if Christians would get in a pinochle game. Would Muslims play checkers ? Would Buddahists play ring around the rosey ?

Atheist is not equal to skeptic....although they are often found together.
I happen to be both. I have played with ouija boards when I was younger and I was a christian.
later I played with ouija boards as a agnostic/atheist skeptic
Now I know how they work and have seen them in action used for their real purpose....entertainment
its all down to the 'ideomotor effect' - see http://www.randi.org/encyclopedia/ideomotor%20effect.html

not sure what stepping outside a comfort zone is supposed to mean.
But I'd willingly do it if it helps some susperstitious crackpot step into the reality zone by realising it's a load of cobblers.

rofl. Yes, why not? Most atheists would say it's just a toy. And, even if they do believe in the Otherworld, it probably wouldn't bother them. Or they'd be intelligent and stay away from the thing because the Otherworld isn't a thing to be toyed with.

I wouldn't, but only because like religion, I know Ouija boards to be bogus too.
I think it's more the case of your beliefs in areas outside of religion, because, if you were really religious, you wouldn't believe in ghosts, because all dead people go to heaven, right?? So who are the ghosts?? Now some atheists may believe in ghosts because they don't believe in heaven, while I believe in neither. So for me both religion and Ouija are both rubbish

Atheist deny the bible God. Ouija is of spiritual demons. (As with all accult, the demons are right 1/2 the time, and they mix truth with lies.) So being blind spiritually, one may want to tamper with Ouija. But it is written in the 10 commandments to not go to any other super powers (Gods) befor the Lord thy God.
But those that reject God's Truth when truely revealed, will be turned over to a deceiving Spirit. Of which is in the Ouija, or any other antichrist cult.

Christians play with Ouija boards, anyone can do it without it being inherantly evil, you have to concentrate and take it seriously for it to work, and most people just don't believe in spirits.
