please don't do it!!! really. i know you have pledged your undying love to this guy... but the fact is that more than half of all mariages end in divorce, and you're not even married yet. it is an awful idea.
paris and nick
carmen and dave
my own tattoo artist had his girl's name and now he's covering it. DON'T DO IT!!

First of all your passport is legal identification and will work for a tattoo among other things.

Second, I dont think it is a wise idea to get this tattoo. What happens if you and him divorce? About 50% of marriages are ending in divorce nowadays. It is a real possibility even though it may not seem so right now. People can love each other very much yet grow apart.

If you definitely want to get a tattoo, I would just get something small and symbolic of the relationship. Not necessarily a name, but something that has special meaning to the two of you.

The reason for this is...what if a tragedy strikes and he dies? I am not wishing this on him but it is a possibility...and then eventually you fall in love again? How will your new partner feel about looking at another man's name while making love to you?

Just imagine you met your fiance after his previous wife had died in a car accident. You and him fall in love, and when you start to make love you take his shirt off only to see HER name in huge letters across his chest!

Getting a persons name tattooed on you is Dumb, unless its your child ,mom/dad are a person close to you that passed away , Six months down the road when the love is gone the tattoo stays ,sounds nice and romantic now but what if you had done this with an ex love ,your new love would not like it

For starters tattooing anyones name on your body that isn't your childrens or your parents names is idiotic. I don't mean to rain on your parade but you don't know what the future holds you could end up breaking up, yes i know you're all lovey dovey now, for all i know you could have been together for 10 years before you got engaged, doesn't matter **** happens. Now onto the ID thing, your passport is ID no matter where you go. it's a government approved identification

My advice is to never get a name tattooed on your body unless it is a child's name. Because what if something happens down the line and you split up then you have someone's name tattoed on your body.

Get a tattoo of the signature. Its unique and can be shrunk down for the tattoo.

The only name I would ever get done on my body is 'Mom', but I doubt that'll even happen. Just be careful you get it done small and easy to cover up...just in case

um OK ... first its bad luck to get you fiance's name on you .. until your married... the passport might work but i doubt it very much.. cause passports can be faked... but when you do decide to get a tattoo, coca-cola writing is really pretty and sharp looking.. choose a color that complements you skin and take care of it well...

good luck!

and congrats on the engagement

branding is for cattle, I thinks it's a bad idea to get a name tattoo. Maybe you should consider getting a symbol that you both enjoy, that way its a collaboration of the two of you.
