Profanity is in the ear of the beholder - or, listener. What is profane to you might not be profane to me.
On the TV show "I Love Lucy," even though they were married they could not be seen in the same bed, nor could they say the word "Pregnant." Both were considered obscene and profane at the time.
On the TV show "I Dream of Genii," Genii's costume could not show her naval. Again, indecent and profane.
I was taught (in the 50's) that the word "Piss" was profanity even though it appears in the King James Bible. The same with "Hell" and "Damn."
Weirdest of all, I remember being with a young pastor and his wife one time and she said something was "Asinine" (meaning stupid). He told her he though Christians shouldn't use that word, just because it "sounded" bad.
Like I said, what is profane to one person is not to someone else, and what was considered profane (or even sinful, like dancing) at one point in time is not at some other time.
There are many, many good and honorable Christian leaders who teach love, forgiveness, kindness, tolerance, and charity. But there are far too many of the type that have always used fear, including the fear of Hell, to control their followers. Every one of those Christian leaders has a different set of rules, a different interpretation of the Bible, to beat their followers up with and keep them in line.
The Bible says nothing AT ALL about profanity, smoking, pornography, or swearing (except taking the name of the Lord in vain). If your leaders are using these or any "whip" to keep you in fear of hell, and thus under their control (they can show you how to be saved!), then you should really, really find another Church (and stop listening to televangelists and mega-ministers like Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggart, etc.).
ADDED:
mibandibee referred to Ephesians 4:29 - "Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear." Saying "Oh, crap!" or "aw, nuts!" are not "good for edification" so if you believe her interpretation of that (single) verse, then saying those things are sinful too and will send you to Hell. I don't think so...
Missy means well, but uses false logic. Even if it is true that most sex crimes are committed by people who watch porn 5 times a week (a questionable assertion), that does not mean that porn leads to sex crimes. If I say "Most murders are committed by people who eat three meals a day," a true fact, does that mean that if you eat three meals a day you are more likely to murder someone? See the false logic? Nonsense...

Any sin will send you to hell WITHOUT forgiveness through Jesus Christ. That is when you believe in Him and repent of sin- and follow Him. He is the only way to heaven and he forgives ALL sins- except the sin of refusing Him. That is the only sin that will not be forgiven.
Now as a believer we should not use profanity- it is not edifying. I know some people struggle with that- but I am sure every christian who struggles with it feels convicted. If they truly Love the Lord they will always seek His help in this area and want to change. Only the Lord can change us!
Ephesians 4:29
Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

in case you may instruct and placement your sources as to the similarity or more effective yet, any information of there being a ripping off of different religions that hasn't already been refuted which could be a very good commence. And God doesn't deliver you to hell, you pick to flow your self from unbelief and rejection. do not blame God for your not desiring Him even although He gave His existence freely that you may want to nicely be lined lower than His righteousness because yours replaced into inadequate. yet you really ought to trust He did this for you. And believing in that language meant to understand and obey. meaning all those those who purely say they trust yet stay as although God doesn't exist is interior an similar boat because the atheist. mendacity to themselves.

Anything that comes between you and the spirit of God is a sin. a sin is something that cuts you off from the spirit of God. blasphemy of the holy spirit is the only unpardonable sin. if cussing comes between you and the spirit then you will suffer for it spiritually, but only truly evil people go to hell. not just people who do little things like cuss. its whats in your heart that matters, not a few not well chosen words.Peace. May God Bless You in your spiritual journey

because pornp(rofanity) stimulates different parts of the brain and body at the same time, the images and thought (sometimes deeply erotic and sometimes molestual) remain as a part of our permanent memory for life.
the permanent memory is tapped daily by our concious and subconcious.
how we react to these images is unpredictable.
recent research has shown that most sex crimes are committed by people who regularly (more than 5 times per week) use porn.

Who cares what they think? I know people who think aliens talk to them. What difference does it make. Some people are off their medication, and others don't realize they need it in the first place. So what's new?

I don't think that it well. Although, it isn't very Christ like AT ALL. I think the only thing that will send you to hell is denying Jesus Christ.
