Flying in the USA in two weeks. Should I put my medication and vitamins in my checked luggage instead of carrying them on with me?

Take your medication in your carry on. They are allowed, but you must declare them. Here is the TSA's guideline for medications: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/specialneeds/index.shtm

Here's our site on packing medications. http://www.mousetourstravels.com/packing-medications.html And here's a sample form for declaring your meds: http://www.mousetourstravels.com/form-to-declare-medications.html

You should always take your medication etc in your carry on. There is always a chance your checked luggage can get lost or delayed. I fly often and have not had any problems with my medication going through security.

Never had any problems with taking my medication (and I use a lot) with me in my carry-on bag. I usually divide my medication into two lots, one I take in my hand luggage and one I put in a suitcase. Just to be on the safe side.

The issue is if any are liquids. If liquids, you can only carry on 3 oz containers, unless you have a perscription. Putting all in luggage has no limitations, per se.

NEVER check your medication!!!! If it is liquid you can still carry it on as long as it is in its original container and the perscription is in your name. Anything solid like pills can be carried on no problem.

specific! it somewhat is extremely recomended that each and everyone passangers take their prescribed drugs with them as a shop on through fact if something occurs, the airlines of your determination isn't stable. in case you're prescribed a liquid style of drugs, be sure you have documentation out of your dr who prescribed it to be sure secure passage via TSA considering beverages at the instant are not allowed anymore except it somewhat is 3oz or much less. different drugs like ibprofen and vitamis is likewise proper only no longer in liquid style except prescribed! secure travels!
