You should probably leave the house by 7:15 am to allow for traffic although the trip into Monrovia would probably only take about :45 minutes most of the time. It always seems to slow down around Irwindale. Heading home would be slower as the 210 gets crowded about 4:30 pm heading East, so that trip could take as much as 90 minutes... slow all the way to the 15. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and my husband makes almost the same drive several times a week as he works in Pasadena... but he works at night so he's always going the opposite direction from "the commute" on his way in.

It is a mess trying to get out of Riverside going west in the morning. I would try about 6:30 to begin with if you can't afford to be late.

Juicy,

Monrovia to Riverside is no joke. Allow yourself 1.5 hours minimum and 2 hours maximum.
