I agree it is no harm, snails after all are but protein...just ask the French (er I repeat the others again!)
I know it is nasty appearing, but apparently taste good to your puppy. I honestly do not know how to stop your little garden gourmet.
As far ask killing the snails, as far as I know, Jess' beer idea works with snails and slugs alike.
On the other hand, if you try to kill the snails with poison, the puppy may eat enough of the poisoned ones to become sick. If nothing else, nature is taking its course, your puppy gets a snack, and your garden has less snails.

Then maybe try putting some Pedigree chum in the garden(snails are for the French)

Its no worry. If you are concerned, as your obviously are, train your puppy to drop (what ever is in its mouth) on command. That way when you notice he/she is having a snail snack or anything else for that matter he/she should just drop it. It worked with my two.

But seriously don't be too concerned snails are not toxic. Its just your dog is curious.

Aw poor snails! (I'm a snail fan). You'll know if it's affected her if she starts sliding along the floor leaving a trail of slime behind her! Seriously though I doubt if it's doing her any harm but just use a firm voice when you see her doing it and reward her when she does what you say. Good luck!

Put out some snail/ slug bait. Or keep your dog out of the garden.

the only thing you can do is tell him/her no in a firm voice as she/he looks like doing it and give lots of praise for obeying you.... but a stern "bad boy" if not... you will need lots of patience and above all be consistent. good luck

ps: if it makes you feel better, my neighbours dog eats its own poo.... then wants to lick you.... very big yuk.... i suppose it's a matter of taste lol
and, speaking from a french point of view: what is wrong with eating snails lmao

There is definitely something not good about eating raw snails. They are loaded with salmonella, botulinin, and a host of other very unpleasant organisms. Stop her.

Don't let it bother you, the French people eat snails every day, there's nothing wrong with snails!

just don't use slug pellets. instead you can make a trap by putting beer in the botton of a cut off plastic bottle, buring it in the soil a bit, slug n snails love it but they get pissed n drown in beer.... Way to go!

Perhaps she was French in a previous incarnation?

She's possibly teething, get her some rawhide chews and she may give the snails up.
