I'm a Bangladeshi girl. I had American and Japanese friends visiting Bangladesh and they stayed at our home. Surprisingly they loved the things that we think very obvious. Like, mud houses in villages, village people, fairs, Rickshaws, Shopping centers,Mosques,Parades in Bengali new year etc. If you ask about tourist spots in Bangladesh I would say Cox's Bazaar, the longest sea beach, Sundarban, the mangrove jungle, tea gardens in Sylhet ( very beautiful in the winter). In Dhaka you would like Ahsan Manjil- a beautiful palace and Museum, Red ford, Sonargaon- old capital of Bangladesh etc.Finally I would add that you will enjoy most of the stuff in Bangladesh as its much different then what you usually see. There are lots of interesting places in Bangladesh.
Cox Bazar is an interesting sea resort with the longest sea beach in the world.
Sylhet is beautiful for its magnificent landscape of tea gardens.
Khunla got the Forest call ‘Shundarban’ which is the home of Royal Bengal Tiger.
Comilla got some historical sites.
Noakhali is the green and the most beautiful place.
Kuakata, is another magnificent beach
Chittagong mountainous place where you can elephants
Dhaka the capital with lot historical places..
and there lots of other interesting places….

well i was only in dakar and there are no tourist sites, but down the coast is a place called coxs bazzar a beach areas that some ttourist go to ,not fully developed as you might guess
