we`ve been together for 3 years now we have 3 kids together,I plan on asking her fathers permission.Lord knows its been a long time coming.

On Christmas morning have your three kids each give her a gift. On one tag put "Mommy..." on the next put "Will You..." and on the last one put "Marry Daddy?"have the cam-corder rolling and then be there waiting with her ring! It's a perfect way for you and your family to be involved in this precious event!

I think its real sweet that you want to ask her father first for his blessing. He probably give it easily since you have children together and have been with each other for so long.
Anyways, my husband proposed on Christmas, and he did it in such a cute way. He had his sister wrap a present for me in a decent sized box, and she put a few bars of soap in it. When I opened the box, I was suprised to see a bucnh of soap in it. Needless to say, I asked him if he thought he was funny. He just told me to keep digging. As I went deeper in the box, I found a smaller box. In this box there was a pretty little diamond ring. As soon as I saw this, I started laughing and crying at the same time. It was soo sweet. We still talk about his proposal.

1.) get a big box,with smaller boxes inside-they will keep getting smaller and smaller. Finally,right as she is opening the last one(the one with the ring in it),get on 1 knee,and propose.
2.)hide the ring in a christmas stocking,and when she empties it,get on one knee,propose.
3.) go out to a romantic candlelit dinner.or somewhere alse(must be romantic). During dinner,or whatever there is to do,propose.
Try to propose on one knee. I think it would be better if it was in a private place(without the kids) rather than in the public.

Well asking the father can be done easily in private over Thanksgiving and I am sure he will say yes. Have your 3 children make 3 pretty snow angels in the snow and take her to that place and stand beside them. Take her some place that is very special to you both or some place that she has wanted to go to for a while now. Good Luck...any way you proprose to her will be perfect!!

On Christmas morning, after all the kids are done opening gifts, hand her a very large box, with smaller and smaller boxes inside, until the last one, a jewelers box containing the ring. As soon as she pulls that box out, get down on one knee, and ask.
Her heart will melt--and have some tissues nearby.

Hide the ring inside the Christmas Tree. When it goes time for her to find her present have her look for it. Tell her it is in the tree. When she finds it and has a shocked/exicted/happy look on her face, get down on one knee, giver her your speech (we've known each other along time, want to spend the rest of my life with you, etc...), and propose.
I would ask her Dad before Christmas, maybe at Thanksgiving?

Get a kitten or a puppy... Tie the ring to a lacey collar and put it on the baby animal. Put the baby animal in a box... prefferably one with a lid that's wrapped in nice wrapping paper. Only put it in right before you give it to her. It may be best to have her father run home and get the animal or something so she has no idea. Who knows, i think that's sexy if you ask me.

I personally would get a GAINT box and wrap it up so she thinks it's an oven or something...

Mine hid my ring on an ornament on the tree. Gave me a card with clues to different clues all around the house until I finally got to the tree and saw the ornament.
