If illegal aliens are crossing our borders and bypassing the process of legal entry into the United States just to get a better life to work for wages less than required by federal law ( min wage federally $5.15) aren't they just barely scraping by even in this country? With alot of Americans still only scraping by on minimum wage in this country filling the unskilled labor positions in this country depending on welfare to fill in the gaps, why would we consider for a moment granting amenesty to the illegal population that is living below the poverty level and filling in the gaps with welfare?

We certainly shouldn't consider it at all.This nation is neglecting its least educated and poor to take care of another nations uneducated and poor.I'm sorry If I'm paying for the welfare(and I am) I want my taxes to go for feeding and taking care of Americans first.This plan has been offered as a way to end the illega aliens,coming to the USA .Anything is worth looking into as a solution.
Secure the borders immediately (with a mere 5.9% (i.e. 153,000 border patrol) of the total 2.6 million military, guard, and reserves).
Require enforcement of all immigration laws. Enforce the existing laws.
Require deportation of ALL illegal entries and visa overstays currently within our jails and prisons (i.e. within our custody).
Require ALL employers to use the Social Security Verification System for ALL hires. Prosecute violators.
Deny ALL illegal alien births automatic citizenship. Stop the abuse of anchor babies to acquire Blue Passports.
Deny ALL illegal aliens a FREE K-12 education.
Deny ALL illegal aliens ANY and ALL public benefits (welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, etc.), except Emergency healthcare
Deny ALL illegal aliens driver's licenses.
Deny ALL illegal aliens college tuition.
Verify ALL voter's citizenship, before permission to vote. Biometrics could be helpful.
Provide $500 (per person) and pre-paid transportation to each illegal alien volunteering to leave the U.S.
With no more magnets (no jobs, welfare, education, etc.), the remaining illegal aliens will leave voluntarily. Allow all illegal aliens to leave on their own, with their own property. Those wishing to immigrate to the U.S. must get in line behind those already seeking to immigrate legally.

Nice question and nice details. I dont get it why some countries actually import people that have no skills. But mostly, the poor people have a lot of skills and they can do good things for the American economy. Not all the time, but sometimes. I do not like it when the USA is importing poor people who cannot do anything at all! All the spaces are then taken and all the good skilled people go illegal.. There is an unfairness in that.

All they are doing is driving down the cost of labor. If enough people are willing to do a job for $3/hour, then most employers will be paying $3/hour.
Illegals hurt this country to the tune of billions of dollars every year. Get them out!
