Caffeine is a addictive habit, this is why some crave it daily and can't function without it. I HAD to give it up since I become caffeine sensitive. I did it cold turkey. If you want to ween yourself off try green tea and only 2 cups a day at most. If drinking de-caf you should know that it still has a very small amount of caffeine in it. I also was a smoker and the only way to kick it was once again cold turkey. BTW I quit that and coffee 4 years back. Good luck it is a mind set you know.

Drink lots of water. Yes Cranberry juice is good if you can stand the taste. White grape juice is good and orange juice is a good source of vitamins.

Water will help to flush it out. Be prepared to experience a low-grade headache that may last a day or longer if you're going "cold turkey" in giving up the caffeine. It can take several days for your metabolism to accustom itself to doing without caffeine.
