I am 28 years old, female, just got married, and just joined the Army National Guard. I want three children, and I want to have them now, back to back. AND, NO, not to stay out of deployment, BECAUSE, I want kids, and I want to be fairly young when I have them.

If I do have all three right in a row, will they extend my service?, what would they do?

If I had the choice, I would just add 4 more years onto my service.

Well, we don't all get what we want. All one need do is walk through a military cemetery to realize that. It doesn't appear that you give a lot of thought to the decisions you make, or how they might impact other decisions. Your impulsiveness will eventually get you into trouble, and frankly, I would offer you little sympathy.

There is the possibility, the army will respond the same way I have. That being the case, you may face some penalties or even punishment, if you fail to complete the obligations you agreed to, with them!

I am very grateful for your service. Thank you.

Unfortunately, if you want to have three kids right now, you shouldn't have joined the National Guard. It is a huge responsibility and shouldn't be entered into lightly. Many people balance family and career, but a military career is very different from the white-collar world.

You need to talk to someone with the proper authority to get the right advice.

They will not extend your service. You would get discharged with either honorable or general under honorable conditions if you remained pregnant for a couple of years. They would not be able to accomodate you and want you to leave.

You can have 3 kids. No problem! You will still have to go to your monthly training, but you will just be pregnant. You won't be deployed to Iraq or anywhere else while you are pregnant. They are not going to extend your contract or anything like that.

Thank you for your service!

Either the service & money or kids & time. you cant and should't do them both at the same time. Think about your prioritys! What you would like to do first! Good luck in Iraq!!
