Handle may refer to:
Handle (grip), a device, attached to an object, that is gripped to move or use the object
Handle, a kind of smart pointer, a reference to a position in computer memory
Handle (mathematics), a term used in topology
Handle, the friction and flexibility of sheets of material as measured by Handle-o-Meter
Handle, a pseudonym used in Citizens' band radio
Handle or screen name (computing), a pseudonym used within an online system
Adjustment handles let a user interface designer resize a control.
A handle is a 1.75 liter (approx. half gallon) bottle of a distilled beverage because bottles of that size often have a handle
Handle, the total amount bet at a performance at a venue which offers parimutuel betting, such as a horse racing track, dog racing track, or jai alai fronton

I'm not Canadian although I go to and have lots of friends in Montreal (what a place!) but I know that Katie K has it correct: a handle is the 1.75 liter size. But I didn't realize the term is a Canadian one. I have never heard the term used, at least not in Quebec. Actually in Quebec liquor stores the large size is usually just 1.14 liters.

I'm Canadian and I have NO idea what a handle of Captin Morgan's is. I think the person who asked that question speaks in their own Language.

A handle is bigger than a fifth of liquer.. it's a little less than 2 liters.
It's called a handle because theyre so big they need handles.

it refers to those extra large bottles of liquor, usually above 1.2 liters. its called a handle because generally, those types of liquor bottles have handles on them. by the way, the term "handle" is also used elsewhere, not only in Canada.

I'm from the South (Dixieland). Your handle is your name. It's what you call yourself. It's usually used when you're on a CB radio.
