At a check cashing store.

If you don't have a bank account to cash your check, the only option you really have is to go to a check cashing company.

Remember, they will not give you the full amount for the check because they will "withhold" some of the money to pay for their service. Of course this depends on how much your check is.

However some banks will cash your check for a small fee if you do not have an account with them. But not all of them do.

I would strongly suggest you open up a bank account and start cashing your checks there. You could be paying a lot of money over time using a check cashing company's service.

Hope this helps.

God Bless....

trick question here....you cannot deposit a check if you don't have an account. However, you can cash a check at many large grocery stores if it's less than a certain amount. Check cashing places usually charge for this. Sometimes the bank where the check is written from will cash it. But not always. Goodluck.

I would say your best bet is to take it to a branch of the bank the check is drawn on if possible. In other words, if the drawee bank, the bank the check is coming from, has a branch near you cash it there. Check is drawn on Chase, Bank of America....take it to a branch to cash.

It will be difficult to cash an out-of-state item at a check cashing place. Most institutions won't negotiate an item for you if you don't have an established relationship with them. Thanks again terrorists...

Good luck! If I can help further, email me please..
