cuz down south in MS . we have satsumas.... I cant find them here in TN. they have never even heard of such a word but they sell clemintines they seem to be the same thing but not sure

Hey I'm from Louisiana and in Ca. they know nothing about satsumas either.They have little Mandarin oranges that are the closes thing to satsumas.Different fruit all over.Do you know what a muskydime is???

They are both types of mandarin oranges. the difference to me is mostly in the texture; the satsuma seems a little more delicate, and the clementine is just slightly chewier. They also are easier to ship; that's probably why they are becoming more popular at grocery stores.
