I saw my grandfather in the kitchen with my sixteen year old brother. They were talking quietly and all the sudden my grandfather hit him with a closed fist about six times. Then when my back was turned I heard a big WHAM and my brother was on the floor when I turned around. What should I do? I am 14, he lives with my grandparents and I live with my mother.

If your Grandfather really hit him with a closed fist you need to tell someone. He could possiblely injure your brother more than you know...physically, emotionally and the rest of the family. What's to say that your Grandfather won't quick hitting one day and your brother may not get up, ever. I've been in an abusive relationship for five years and have been free from it for one year. I also have been abused by family members, sexually, emotionally and physically. Don't let your brother grow up thinking it was his fault because then you'll feel guilty down the road too. That's worse of a feeling than actually getting hit. TELL SOMEONE SOON!!!

Get him out of there QUICK even if you have to make something up. Let your mother know. Also let police know. Or your grandparents will treat others the same.

Abuse is abuse no matter who it is from......Report it to someone a consular,police, and especially your mom. He has probably been abusing him for a long time.And your brother Will probably suffer from anger problems even abuse others,but if he gets the help and learns how to break the cycle,He will be OK.

ask him if he is ok and maybe he'll bring it up or you could say why did grandpa do that or something dont just look the other way on something like this
