Be careful when using Priceline, because it's very easy to overbid. You have to do your homework first. Go to sites like Expedia or Travelocity first, and see what the basic retail price is. Then go to consolidator sites like Hotwire, Orbitz and Cheaptickets to see what your lowest price is.

Start by low-balling Priceline, and go up $25 to $50 at a time, depending on how long or short a time you want to wait. Generally you can get a good deal, if you play the waiting game, and keep increasing your bids incrementally.

Good luck. I don't use Priceline. I recommend all the other consolidator sites -- Orbitz, Hotwire, Cheaptickets -- and others such as BookingBuddy and more. Good luck.

Cheers, hope this helps. -- K
