This is an old riddle that's been messed up. The answer to the original riddle is "language", but the way that it's been told has been screwed up.
"There are three words in the English language." is how it should start. Then the "gry" comes into play as a 'red herring' to throw you off. Everyone uses language everyday, and it's the third word in "the English language".
