I suffer severe short term memory loss and I understand how you feel.

It is very upsetting.I write things down then forget i wrote them anywhere.
The suggestions for writing things down and having a place for everything are good ideas.

Always do the same things. For instance, al;ways put your keys in the same place. This way you will reduce the risks of losing things and you will be abl;e to focuss on really important things. Another tip if you need to retain something: make a mental association with something that is emotional powerfull. Good luck :)

1. Keep a notebook with you at all times and jot things down as soon as you think of them.
2. Keep a micro-recorder with you and tape memos.
3. A place for everything and everything in its place- organize your house so you have set areas for things and USE them!
