Actually, he probably was suspended more for his rudeness and continual disrespect of others, his reposting of old questions, etc.
The meaning of his questions, while stupid, was never intrinsically off topic or rude, though he sure left a LOT to be desired in how he said it.

I would suggest instructing your friend to take some science courses, because he must have missed a few if he thinks Evolution is a myth.
