Probably not since most of our population lives 200km from the US border and relies on the US economy. It's doubtful that such an action would reduce crime or terrorism considering the cost finacially. If you're concerned about security in Canada, put more Police on the road. On drives to Seattle, I am always happy to see the idiot speeding, weaving driver pulled over by a state trooper 10 or 15 min later. I think we get away with more up here in Canada. More privacy rights here too.

I am American, and I have been to Canada it's very nice, and if they wanted my finger prints I wouldn't mind at all, I don't mean them any harm. And I have nothing to hide. And that would make me feel a little safer knowing that they are trying to secure their borders also.

Not unless that American poses a security risk to Canada. Most Americans are not targeting the Canadians in any way.

Why on earth would this be done to Americans? They are not rude when we enter their Country. We are just asked a few key questions and on we go. In short, no I co not believe that Americans should have to give their finger prints to us.

Because Americans, in their naivety, don't see that an unarmed invasion is every bit as threatening as an armed, shooting one in which border patrolmen would be allowed to shoot! And it's the naive public and many politicians that control this sentiment in large part. One need not be armed and shooting to be a threat!
