I take it that you dont have dental insurance then. you can call 1800dentist, or try your local phone book. if your credit is okay then you can put money down, and make payments on the rest. If it is shot (your credit) I would suggest that you find a family member that has okay credit, and pay them monthly.

Ok do you have a dentist? If you do go to your dentist and ask him/her to recommend you an orthodontist. If you don't find a phone book and call several orthodontist so you can find the best price. 2 grand might and might not be enough. It really depends on how bad your teeth are. I had an overbite, crossbite, and crooked teeth. Consulation cost $200. Braces in all cost about $5,900. Insurance didn't pay for it. So yea. Braces usually cost around $3-6 thousands dollars. Hope this helps!

Before you see an orthodontist you need to see a regular dentist. The regular dentist will make a determination as to whether or not you need braces. He can then reccommend an Orthodontist. Yes $2000 will take care ot it. However, you won't need to pay for it all at once. Maybe half down and monthly payments. Plan on having those braces on for 2-3 years, and lots of pain also.

1-800-DENTIST is OK to call, just tell them you have to pay cash, DON'T tell them how much money you have. Let them tell you how much you need. Does you college have any dental services or discounts for referrals? There should be some kind of Student Health Program you may be eligible for. Are you far away from your home town? My sister-in-law qualified for Medicaid because of her low income, and she found a good dentist that would treat her. But you have to apply for that in your home state and be treated there.

Most insurance plans don't cover braces or any cosmetic stuff. Go to www.AffordableDental4All.com they do! Its only $11.95 per month and you save up to 80% on everything the dentist does. No long term commitments either, you will also get some savings on prescription medications and vision care too. Also just ask them they should work with you on a payment plan.
