I believe you can love someone without having sex, because you love that person for THEM, not for any physical reasons. You love each other on an emotional level.
People have sex without loving them all the time, look at all the one night stands that people have.
I think that teenagers (I being one myself-19) are so desperate for sex because they feel that to please someone or make themselves acceptable in the eyes of their peers, they need to have sex. They feel in some way gratified even though they don't realize that this gratification doesn't last long, and before they know it they are empty inside and looking for something else to appease them. I think they are missing something in their lives and so they feel that sex can fill that hole and empty space.
I am a Christian and have decided to save myself for my future husband to respect him, myself and most importantly God. God says our bodies are a temple, so we should treat them as such. I believe that love comes first and foremost, and then marriage, and then sex. Sex can be a wonderful thing if two people deeply love each other and are committed to only each other.
Hope this helps! God bless! <3

Sex is a very intimate thing, even for men (whether they admit it or not). I believe that you can have sex with someone you don't love, good sex even. But don't expect there to never be any strings attached. Even if there is just an unknown, spiritual connection, there is a connection.
Teenagers are desperate for sex because hormones are like a built-in drug and they talk--almost all of the time. Don't you remember being sixteen? And who says that teenagers are not in love. Not everyone hooks up just for a few minutes (or hours) of pleasure!

Yes love and sex come together because another term for sex is called making love. Some people forget about the love part and think sex is just fun and games. Some like to have multiple partners which I think is disgusting.

Hi,
Love and sex do not come together. The real love means care and tenderness, sex comes just as a non-necessary component. In my culture, people love each other without sex. This can only happen in marriage.
What teenagers do is not love. It'd crazy! You see people dating, kissing and repeating "I love you", an expression bereft of meaning. It is so pure and refined to love someone in a non-carnal way! You just feel you are high in the sky, and that your soul wants to reach for them!

I love my mom and have no desire to have sex with her
so yes you can love someone without sex
yes you can have sex without loving someone
that is how hookers make a living
and teenagers want sex cause it feels good and as a teenager your body will never look any better than it does right then and you need to enjoy it before it goes bad

you can love someone without having sex, yes, my boyfriend and i haven't had sex yet and we've been together for a year, i love him with all my heart and he loves me the same, we've come close and it's almost ruined our relationship, sex can ruina relationship if your'e not married. you can also have sex without loving someone, it's called rape. you can also jsut have sex because you want to but you have no idea who the person is and you don't care all you want is the feeling, it's sick, personally. Teens don't really understand how special sex is, when you're married, it's a special gift from God that binds the two people together as one, it's not supposed to be abused and used against God's standards, but teens don't understand that, all they know is it feels good, and they want it

I still love my two ex-lovers, but I don't have sex with them. I've fallen in love with others that I didn't have sex with.
I've had sex with those I didn't love.
Yes, on both parts of the question.
Teenagers are in a unique position - they are being hit with feelings they've never had - strong urges and desires, AND the part of their brain which controls long-term consequences hasn't fully developed.

i don't know...i think that if their parents would talk to them and explain these things then we would have less pregnant teenagers. but in order to have a working relationship with someone you need love and sex b/c without both it may not work out.
