Things to do while my baby sleeps??
Any suggestions on what I can do while my 15 mo. old naps during the day? There's only so much cleaning and laundry I can do, otherwise I just wait for her to wake up and click away on the computer as I live in an apartment and don't have any outside maintenance to do so I get easily bored.
As far as sleep...I am getting plenty. My baby sleeps from 8:00p.m. to 8:00a.m, sometimes later, so I don't really need a nap in the afternoon. She naps from 11:30ish to 2:00p.m. I am trying to figure out what to do with myself during the time that she naps. Any suggestions? I'm NOT a puzzle person!

Not into scrapbooking; however, I have been making up photo albums that go in order of the photos that were taken. I, too, am not too crafty. Sewing and crochet, huh?? I can sew a button back on if need be. LOL!

- Obviously, housework.
- Play online.
- Play other computer games.
- Read. (Start going to the library! They have toddler storytimes at most libraries and you can pick up some books for yourself to read at home too.)
- Watch TV.
- Bake.....holidays are around the corner! You could do holiday baking to share with friends/family/neighbors.
- Check out somewhere like Michaels for some simple craft kits that you could use to make holiday decorations, gifts and such. Target actually has little Christmas ornaments that you can paint yourself for $2.50 per box in their "Dollar Spot" right now.
- Decorate the house for the holidays.
- Do puzzles. (Word search, Sudoku, Crosswords, Jigsaw puzzles, etc.)
- Catch up with friends and family by email or phone or the old fashioned way....write a letter!
- Scrapbook.
- Blog. Or set up a website to update long distance friends and family on your little one's accomplishments.
- Meal planning.
- Nap.
- Work out.

Here are some suggestions:
1) exercise, pop in a fitness tape & have a little work out
2) find a craft project you like to do
3) read a book
4) have a nice warm bath
5) work on the baby book or photo albums
I was the same way when I was home with our little guy. Nap time turned into boredom time for me. I tried to schedule long walks around nap time, the little one would doze off in the stroller & I'd have an hour or so to power walk. (works if you live in a quiet community)

I wish I had this problem. My toddler goes to bed at midnight or later, and then wakes up at 7:30 am and does not take a nap during the day, at all unless we are in the car. I suggest scrapbooking her pictures, if you are a picture nut like me. Maybe crosstitching, or some kind of sewing. Maybe you could get a pet, or you could maybe read. I am just coming up with things I would love to do myself, ha ha,

Ok...I was going to suggest taking a nap, but since that doesn't work for you, I'll go with this...
How about taking up knitting or something crafty. Knitting is pretty easy and you could work on Christmas gifts, etc. Once you get the hang of it, you should be able to whip out a scarf everyday at nap time! Make 'em and sell 'em on ebay! Just a suggestion!! Good luck!

How about scrapbooking all those photos you must be taking of her? And keeping up her baby book. Now is the time you can start preparing for the holidays too. Get a jump on Christmas decorations. Make your family matching stockings. Or learn to smock and make her a fancy dress.
WIsh I had all that time. But with 4 kids (homeschooled too) I barely have time to breathe!

read a book, watch a movie that you don't usually have time for during the day, bake, write a children's book, catch up with friends on the phone, or write letters to them. Get started early on Holiday cards, or invite a friend over for a lunch date.
