I'm 5'4, 120 lbs, and I really want to lose weight. I know I'm not fat, but I hate the way I look. Is there any way to lose 4 pounds a week and be able to keep it off? It would really help me to know... thanks

Aim for 2lbs week, its better in the long run and more likely to stay off. Reduce your food portions and increse exercise. Drink plenty of water and try to eat high fibre foods....;

I am new to this forum, although weight and body image seem to be common questions. At 64 inches 120 pounds your body mass index is 20.6. If you are of European descent this is on the lower range of normal, so losing and keeping weight off is not realistic. Body image is another question entirely. To improve the way that you look consider 1 or 2 pounds weights of the wrists and ankles, walking 20 to 30 minutes daily, and working up to 50 sit ups daily.

Look sweety, loosing weight isn't easy, you can do the famous crash diet which is extremely dangerous and causes hair loss, nutrition loss, and in some cases even death. Or you can take an alternative route. Don't look at it as "loosing weight" but as a "life changing" switch. Make smarter choices when it comes to eating and exercise (at least 3x a week). Most dieters don't ever reach their weight goal because they are so fixated on the numbers. The way to loose weight and keep it off is an over all life changing decisions. Good luck Hon!

Exercise and eat right. there's no such thing as a quick fix. Your health is important, take time and do it right. Diets work but they are temporary, get organic or raw foods. move your body and you will see results

Koori...unless you can pinch an inch, your height/weight, considering good muscle tone is excellent. I know that is not what you want to hear. I have three sons...and they like girls, lol...and none of them like skinny girls who are all bones, they want women who are healthy and strong. Please think twice before trying any diets.
