Generally, most video cameras won't allow you to add additional soundtracks, unless they have an Audio Dub button. Otherwise, you need to use a video editing program like Premier or Final Cut. They will allow you to add music to an existing video.

You use a piece of third party software such as Adobe Premier or one of the Macintosh utilities like Final Cut.

Then you need an MP3 of whatever music you want and you import it and your recorded footage into the program. You paste the song onto a spare audio track.

That might sound complicated but its actually really straight forward. Play around with the program, and you'll be adding music and playing with non-linear editing before you know it.

all windows computers these days have windows movie maker installed. open it, load the video and the music, then drag them both onto the storyboard. it is a pretty simple program
