Many people who subscribe to the creationist theory don't believe in the existince of Neanterthals at all. Sceintists now claim to have found preserved Neanterthal DNA and are going to study the genome and compare it with Homo Sapiens and look for differences and similarities and pubish their findings in Major scientific papers. Do creationists actually think this is all a big hoax? I'd love to hear their thoughts on this.

Do Creationists believe that Neanterthals (non-human genetic ancestors) ever existed?

Here is a link hope the Chicago Sun Times is reputable enough. Just do a GOOGLE NEWS Search on Neantrathal DNA. They found a bone fragment with DNA in it.

Also the other answerer: Different species cannot mate and produce firtle offspring due to their genetic differences, it's not just opinion or subjective.

I'm an old-earth creationist.... yes Neanderthals existed. There is plenty of evidence that they did exist before humans. My question to you is what exactly is it about a neanderthal that makes it a different species than human? If we evolved from neanderthals and they are so similar to our genetic make up? Then why not just consider them Human? Where do you draw the line?

Well, I suppose it would help to define "Neanderthal" and then define "homo sapiens." What's the criteria for being a Neanderthal? Prominent brow ridges, heavy, forward-jutting jaw, wider shoulders and pelvis, a braincase that measured larger than contemporary Homo sapiens?

You've got men walking around today looking like that. Put him in a suit and put him on a New York subway train, and he would probably look no different than many modern day men.

Most people believe data dictate conclusions. But there are times that data is shaped to fit a conclusion that has already been reached. Sometimes it's "I never would have seen it if I hadn't believed it."

i for my area am geared up greater like a Neanderthal than maximum yet i do no longer think of there is something inherently better to Neanderthal genes. Neanderthals weren't the 1st to bury their ineffective or play music. in certainty they confirmed no inclination to make symbolic artifacts till inspired with the help of early Homo sapiens. i think of genetic style is oftentimes stable even regardless of the undeniable fact that this is rarely a reason to gloat approximately being better. All people have better jointly regardless of the undeniable fact that the unfold of genes into and out of Africa (and different places which contain Australia) could have been slow or blocked on occasion.

No, not a fake. Let's just wait and see how far the geneticist can go with the Neanderthal DNA. I find it fascinating.

What Neanderthals? I'm a troll, and Christians don't even believe in trolls, and that really hurts.
