The ozone layer is what makes earth habitable. Like sunshine, water & air, without the ozone layer, life as we know it would not exist. Certainly no humans. Perhaps some rare forms of bacteria could survive in such harsh conditions. Without it, the earth will have no temperature control. The days will be blistering hot & the nights freezing cold - from one extreme to the next. & the sun's rays would become deadly to all living things. So I hope this helps answer your question & that you continue to ask questions & help educate those around you too because the more people who have this knowledge, the more chance our planet has of being saved.

The protective role of the ozone layer in the upper atmosphere is so vital that scientists believe life on land probably would not have evolved, and could not exist today, without it. For more details visit the website below.

No because the higher level ozone layer helps to deflect dnagerous levels of ultra-violet light and other solar radiation away from the earth;s atmosphere.

Sort of.

We could protect ourselves from the UV radiation, though it would severely curtail outside activities and change our lives. Mostly we'd stay indoors or in vehicles where we'd be protected.

Nature couldn't cope as well and agriculture would be devastated. We'd need to work very hard just to feed ourselves. Life wouldn't be easy. In many poor countries huge numbers of people would die.

No! Because it filters ultraviolet rays and protect us from them. They are noxious for alive beings wich are now in our planet (they would cause serious burnings and fatal mutations in plants, animals... And we are not an exception!).

We (humans) could, but most other mammals, birds, reptiles would become extinct, as the UV damaged their eyesight.
