yeah, i like the way you think about things.
maybe, its a question of intention.
there is a saying...
knowing and not doing, is equal to not knowing at all.

Adam and Eve's sin was not in becoming aware of their nakedness, anymore than a sleepwalker waking up at the controls of a wrecker is responsible for the building he may have knocked down. (Poor analogy but nothing else came to mind.) Before eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (not "apple"), they only had a simple moral code: Don't eat that fruit. Once the deed was done, their moral code changed automatically, but they were not responsible for anything "wrong" they may have been doing at the time. For the same reason, it is bad practice to make laws retroactive, otherwise innocent people suddenly find themselves legislated into court.
As it says in my old catechism, in order for a sin to be serious, one of the requirements is that the person be aware that the act is sinful. Ignorance is effectively innocence. Young children are considered incapable of sin because they are incapable of understanding moral consequences. Once one reaches the "age of reason" (i.e. forms a "conscience"), they are capable of sin ("adult-erated" if you like).
So simple ignorance is not sin. (Intentional "ignorance" could be sin if it is an avoidance of responsibility.) Awareness of an act's sinfulness is not sin. Only deliberate, knowledgeable commission (or refusal, in some cases) of an act is sin.
In short, 1) the act must actually be sinful, 2) you have to know it's sinful, and 3) you have to do it anyway. Put another way, with knowledge comes responsibility.
Sometimes people call ignorance "evil" but they mean the fact of ignorance is a problem, not that ignorant people are evil. (Earthquakes are "evil" too.) It's up to the people who know better to do something about it.

The sin of Adam and Eve was to knowingly disobey God's command not to eat the apple from the tree of knowledge. You commit no sin by being tempted, only in giving way to temptation. If God had remained silent about the fruit from the tree, Adam and Eve would not have sinned by eating it. It's similar to when a cat kills a mouse; it hasn't sinned because it dosen't know it's 'wrong'.

I think you've been putting too much thought into this. The sin was the eating of the apple - it was a sin because it was the only thing God had asked them not to do at the time. It was their only commandment and by disobeying it, they sinned. The Bible goes on to say that after eating the apple, their eyes became open and they became ashamed and hid. Their eyes became opened because they realized what they had done was a deliberate action of disregard for God's commandments. By wanting to hide, it shows they felt bad AFTER doing the wrong deed. But it was too late to take it back. It's not awareness or ignorance that caused the sin. Sin is an action of disobedience to God. "Missing the mark" as translated. They were far from ignorant of God's laws, and they were well aware of what their actions would lead to because God had already warned them. They weren't innocent bystanders by any means. Who of us would believe a talking snake? They knew the limits to the animals and allowed themselves to be persuaded to believing they could be like God if they ate of the fruit. The one that really wanted to be like God was Satan, who devised this plan in order to get God's worship for his own. Any purposeful disobedience to God can be considered worship of Satan.

It was a matter of obedience. Adam and Eve sinned by deliberately breaking God's law. So Jehovah put them out of the garden of Eden. Paradise was lost. (Genesis 3:1-6, 23) But God has not forgotten his purpose for this earth. He promises to make it into a paradise, where humans will live forever. How will he do this?—Psalm 37:29.

It was not awareness that caused the sin. It was the fact that once they ate of the forbidden fruit they THOUGHT they knew what was right and what was wrong. --- More so than God.

Sin is disobedience.
When you try and read more into it than that, you are setting yourself up for deceiption that the serpent used on Eve. Has God said? ... in other words, don't trust God.
