I don't know what it is. I just can't seem to stop eating it. I work in an office where there are candy bowls left and right and I can't stop grabbing from them. What's a girl to do?!!!

Chocolate is addicting! As a guy, I eat more than I should.

Just watch for the fattest person in the office grab from the bowl and remember, that could be you in the future! Moderation is the key. Decide how much you are going to limit yourself to, and stick with it. Just because it's there doesn't mean you have to endulge!

Also, try switching to only dark chocolate. Try Lindt 60% and see if you like it. There are health benefits also! Read this:

Well, it is proven that the more you eat sweets, the more you will want them. Trust me, I know where you are coming from because I was the same way 2 years ago, and before I knew it my weight was out of control. Then I wieghed 175lbs, and I got up to 210lbs. I am not really fat in one place, but I am big all over. Trust me, it is much easier to keep your hands from grabing the candy instead of tring to loose the weight. I use to never gain weight no matter what I did, but when I started loading up the candy, I also loaded up on my calorie intake.

Some good snacks you can substitute when you get a craving is like non sweetened strawberries, an orange, and a banana. I also really like carrot sticks; and you can also eat a special K bar in between meals, and it really does take away from your appetite. I am now down to 205 and I also work out everyday.

Don't loose hope, Good Luck!

Candy bowls.. and the neverending vending machine.. that has King size M&Ms.. The person in the other cubicle eats sunflower seeds all day... says it works... others smoke.. nail biting.. you can always try sweedish fish..... they are lite and not as good as chocolate so you will eat one and wont feel the need to eat 10 more...ok maybe you will eat 2 more..

It's not the chocolate, it's the sugar that's causing the problem. Real, dark chocolate is really good for you, but low percentage chocolate has a ton of sugar which just causes that awful craving cycle. To settle your blood sugar down, try some protein snacks, like nuts or yoghurt, and see if that helps. And when faced with chocolate, try to choose the darkest chocolate you can find. If your blood sugar is stable, you will just find yourself not craving it as much.
