Yes, if you are willing to travel when the time of day isn't so critical Priceline can be a good place to get tickets within your price range. You just have to be flexible.

We get calls from people looking for help with there tickets they purchased all the time during the winter months. Online isn't always lower, so try your local agent. At least you have re-course or a person to help you directly.

You wouldn't believe some of the online horror stories we hear from people who booked online, learned the hard way and now go through a professional.

Based on a few websites I're researched, approximately 4-5 months before the flight is typically when airlines drop the price.
