I am planning to change my name due to professional reasons. I am an Asian decent and need to have a western name. You know what they say...when in Rome...etc. Anyways, I like the name Evan but working in the Financial Industry, I fear that the name Evan sound too boyish, do you think?

So I am thinking about the name Howard. Is it a good name? I'm 24 years old and plan to use this name to the end. Image a fifty-year-old man sitting behind a desk giving you advice on how to invest. Would such a name Howard match such a man? Is Howard a good choice?

What comes to mind when you think or hear of the name Howard?

I think of Happy Days..Not sure why but its kind of an old name. Im not a huge fan. Evan is nice. It sounds slick..1 syllable..Easy to say and easy to remember..Or Dan maybe? Good luck

Evan is a better choice - it's not boyish, it's pretty cool.

And for Howard? Sorry, but the first thing that comes to mind is a very bad book and movie from the 80s...

Howard the Duck

I really don't like the name Howard ... in fact the first thing that pops in my mind is Howard Stern ... and who really wants to be affiliated with Howard Stern professionally ... not me ... lol ... why not something like :

James / Jim
Joel
Bruce
Richard

I like Evan ... it's not that boyish sounding ... maybe Devon or Craig ... I say pick whatever you can live with for the rest of your life .. it's your decision right ... good luck ... !
