Or the coffins are placed over one another, especially in the countries which don't have much land or space?

If it is imperative to bury each and everyone at a different place, will not there be scarcity of place in the countries where there is great population?

There are several options...
Burial in the ground, in private graves...
Burial in Crypts or Mausoleums
Burial in "niches" in wall spaces
and
Cremation, with burial of the urn in a columbarium, or keeping of the urn by the family, or scattering of the ashes either at the sea shore, or outdoors in a place the person loved, in compliance with the persons last requests.....

All these options depend on the type of cemetery, and type of funeral services available in the place where the person is to be interred.

Some places the gravesites are bought by the families (with even family vaults, crypts or mausoleums built to bury whole families over several generations).

Some places all over the world, the gravesites are leased for a certain amount of years (some for 5, 10, 25 or 50 years), if at the end of that time the family have not renewed this lease, the remains are exhumed and placed in what is called a "common grave". The gravesites are then refurbished and rented anew.

Some places, to save space, when another person of the same family dies, the first persons remains are exhumed, and placed in the same casket, thus using only one grave, and saving space. (Evidently, the first person must have been interred at least ten years so that the remains can be reduced to be able to fit in the same casket).

Some places have Ossariums, these are smaller spaces (again usually in wall niches) when the remains are exhumed, (if the family so wishes), the remains (at this stage only bones) are placed in a smaller casket, the size of which is only as long as the biggest bone in a body) this is then placed in the smaller gravesite usually in a wallspace. These are not leased, but bought.

Burials depend on the custom of each country and religion...

Countries like India where the population is enormous do not generally bury their dead..they are usually cremated, with some exceptions...
The strangest funeral services I have ever heard of are those of the people of Madagascar, who exhume their deceased several times over a period of years, and "tend" to their needs...changing the bindings on the bodies with rituals, that are done according to their beliefs.

it depends, in some countries they kill soooo many people the bodies are thrown into a common grave without coffins.
when you're are dead you're dead it makes no difference,
some people have their bodies burnt and the ashes scattered.
God bless,
