When the WWII ended we (Americans) needed a new enemy, and we gave you Korea, then after the Korean war, we still needed another enemy to terrorise our people, so we gave you VIETNAM, well, that was not good enough, we wanted something even bigger, so we gave you the COLD WAR and the soviet union, well now the cold war has ended an we are friends with the russians, so what do we do where do go.... we need an enemy to keep our people terrified by some form of external threat... so we gave you al kaida.... but then who's really heard of al kaida before the 911 attacks, so we decided to demonise all muslims and started to invade their lands in the name of giving them freedom and democracy. And when that is not enough we decided to add to our vernacular words such as Islamofascists (my my what the heck does that mean?) and we give you words like Islamists?? Look such so called Islamicists always excisted (quite peacfully) I might add, it is us who have been going around provoking them..

The USSR was the bad guy starting before 1945 up to the fall of the USSR in 80s. This was called the Cold War Korean and Vietnam were hot points in the same war. The USSR and China were very much in the fighting.

The War at hand, no made it up. It has been gong on for a long time. Just because it did not make the papers does not mean fighting was not.This time the fighting is not against the military but our enemy want to hit women and children. Why because they do not fight back. The fights have been in Thailand, Pakistan. Iraq, Sudan, Algeria, Chechnya, Chad, Somalia, Philippines, India, Thailand and many other places. Just this week there has been 401 killed and over 500 hurt..

Damn, how does one grow up in this country, go to school, enjoy the freedoms we have, although I believe we have too many, learn about history and all the evils in the world, and evil dictators, such as: Stalin, Hitler, Moa Tse-tung, Edi Amin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il, Saddam Hussein, along with troublesome leaders such as Ahmadinejad, al Assad, Milosevic, Sadr, el Zarqawi, and others, and you believe the US is the bad guy in all this?

You don't have a clue to any of your notes. We do not go looking for enemies and all these wars those countries have asked for our help in protecting them. But to get into current issue, the US Govt has heard of Al-Queda before 9-11 along with all the other type of groups/extremists or what ever you want to call them. We have them and more of those types of groups in the US, even before 9-11, from Nazis, to ALQueda. The US doesn't demonize Muslims in the US or anywhere in the world, it is the extremest Muslims that we are concerned with. Each culture blames other groups they are being singled out or mistreated for some reason or another. Americans in general don't want to know that these groups exist and want to see through their rose colored glasses and are only focused on their own lives. Making money, going on vacation and not inconvenienced by increased security it takes at times to protect your freedoms. As far as your comment on the new bogey man, we are our own bogey man. Each groups doesn't want to take the time to work issues out with the other and to busy getting fat because they are money hungry because they dont have a life and too lazy to protect themselves. Vietnam was part of the US policy to halt communist agression throughout the world particularly in south east Asia. Which despite failing in Vietnam ultimately prevailed.

Al Quaida was known prior to 9/11 though the attack on the USS Cole and the bombings of the US Embassy in Kenya.
