Some things you need to think practically about. Why would God need to have a billion son's if one son could do the job of redeeming all of us? Besides, you've missed the point. The one Son made it possible for all of us to be the Father's adopted children. So, in one very real sense God does have billions upon billions of children.

There are six things Jesus has already done 1. Jesus lived in Heaven( John 6: 38) 2.Jesus was born on earth( Luke 2: 11 ) 3. Jesus lived on earth( John 1: 29) 4. Jesus died on the Cross( Romans 5: 8 ) 5. Jesus rose from the dead(Mathew 28: 6 )6. Jesus went back to Heaven(Mark 16: 19 ). Four things Jesus will do someday. 1. Jesus will meet believers in the air (1Thessalonians 4: 16 ) 2. Jesus will take believers to Heaven (1Thessalonians 4: 17) 3 Jesus will come back to earth and rule as King.( Revelations 19: 16 ) 4. Jesus will make the new heavens and the new earth ( Revelation 21: 1 ) It was all Gods plane from the begening.

He didnt "make" His Son. The preincarnate Christ co-existed with the Father from all eternity. There was never a time when the Son did not exist. THere was a time when the man Jesus CHrist did not exist. He was born around 2000 years ago when the preincarnate Son took on flesh and became a man. The term Son as applied to Christ conveyed more than just lineage. For Christ it indicates that he is the same kind as the Father - he is God. Just as when a man and woman have a child, that child is just like them. This illustration breaks down of course, a human child does not co-exist with the parents like Christ co-existed with the Father.

Why would having more than one son have helped with peace on earth? Jesus did everything that was needed to establish peace. The fact that humans don't seem to be able to accept it wouldn't have changed if there had been more people involved.

Not everyone believes God had a son. For instance, in Islam, Jesus was a prophet not the son of God. Don't ya just love how different religions tie together? Which one is right is what I'd like to know.....maybe I'll ask on yahoo.

He could have as many sons as He wants. But He only needed the one. Why would He more than the perfection that is His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.

He created the COMPANY of angels.
He formed the RACE of humanity.
He formed ONE and then they provided the offspring.
WHY? Since humanity was a "race", descended from one ... then He could be come one of THEM because there was a common-ness.
That way He could offer them redemption.
