Boot from your windows XP installation disk (probably hit F12 while windows is starting up to do this). Delete your partition (losing everything on your machine but also the trojan). Create a new partition. Format it. Install windows on the freshly formated partition. Reinstall various programs you use from their original CDs.
Realistically, this is the only method that works. But it DOES work 100% of the time.

virus removal is tough if you've never done it "by hand" however, trend micro offers some pretty good directions. The virus is known as TSPY_LDPINCH by trend micro anti-virus. Trend Micros search reveals this link http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default2.asp?m=q&virus=TSPY%5FLDPINCH&alt=TSPY%5FLDPINCH
there are about 5 different viruses listed however, they all have similar removal instructions try that. McAfee also has a free scanner called stinger that may help.
For locating the malicious process, i would recommend sysinternals process explorer (its free and much more useful than the traditional windows process manager).
