Kinda like hating the sin and not the sinner

I don't HATE anything or anyone. I have a big problem when disagreement is characterized as HATE. If the only way you can avoid hating someone is accepting their point of view, then there is no room left for an intellectual dialogue.

That's a pretty good point. It's only fair for it to be the case that "hate the sin, love the sinner" be switched around. I'm a Christian, but I definately agree with you in that the rules should be the same for all sides. Including the idea of "if Christians can shove their beliefs down people's throats, then why can't a do the same?" Not that I condone shoving beliefs down people's throats (anymore) but rules should be the same. God bless you, Jibba Jabba.

Jibba Jabba, Ive read a lot of your silly posts before, BUT this one actually does make REAL sense.

Religion is the killer of relationships....meaning that most "christians" have a religion, not a relationship with God.

SOO, HATE THE RELIGION, NOT THE CHRISTIAN!!

I hate the dogma, the institutions and the idea that clergy should be endowed with power and influence and it's difficult to seperate that from Christianity so I really just hate the religion and its more conservative adherents.

I dont hate religion, I actually think it's important for people. It helps them get through hard times and things that are difficult to explain. I personally dont have a religion.

I hate people as individuals.

however: if I WERE to believe, I choose the FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER!

I don't hate the religion, just really disagree with it. But just because I disagree with someone's religion doesn't mean I acutally hate that person, you know?

no. the christian religion is good- it's main philosphy is to love one another and do good things for each other. It's the people that corrupt it and turn it into something ugly and elitist
