Of all the faiths Buddhism is the only one that actively embraces religious diversity so Buddhists can certainly find common ground with any belief system. Whether the rest can or would even want to is doubtful.

NO. Only way we can meet is to admit to our selfs is that we do not know the will of God and if he exists. Christina's say you can only go to heaven if you recognize Jesus. Muslims think The prophet(satans son) is the only correct source of truth. As a matter effect islam is the most blinding. Religious people assign absolutes to a pointless theory that is impossible to prove. If we knew the will of God we would all be Gods wouldnt we? They asks them selfs why is there injustice in the world and despise them selfs for questioning God. No religion can even agree on a single view. They all fight over interpretations of there own books. Can you agree to worship 10 different view points? No. I choose not to worship them all.

How about right here on earth!

Wouldn't that be awesome? Get together at many points all over the globe on like one or two days every years in a massive world interfaith RESPECTFUL (meaning--no conversion attempts and anybody trying to tell anyone that theyare going to hell because they believe x instead of y would be immediately banished) interfaith conversation.

Why not?

I believe so..

The Quran says mankind has been honored (the very fact that they are Gods creation entitles them to dignity and respect)

17:70 We have honored the sons of Adam; provided them with transport on land and sea; given them for sustenance things good and pure; and conferred on them special favours, above a great part of our creation.

the Quran also says,

(2:213 mankind was one single nation ..)

So biologically we're the same and...

(11:118 If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.)

so, it's with God's permission societies are plural and diverse in every way.

Also, while Islam teaches us to use proper manners when disputing with others it also teaches us that some disputes are vain and are to be left alone and God will sort are differences on judgement day. For the time live and let live.

109:1 SAY: "O you who deny the truth!
109:2 "I do not worship that which you worship,
109:3 and neither do you worship that which I worship!
109:4 "And I will not worship ~hat which you have [ever] worshipped,
109:5 and neither will you [ever] worship that which I worship.
109:6 Unto you, your moral law, and unto me, mine !"

and msot importantly, islam recognizes that you can't coerce in matters of faith ;

2:256 Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error

Quran says: [ 112:a million-4] Proclaim, "he's the single and purely GOD. "particularly the GOD."by no ability did He beget. Nor grew to become into He begotten."None equals Him." Bible says: "i'm the Lord, and there is not any different; aside from me there is not any God." Isaiah 40 5:5 Gurugranth sahib ji says: "there is One regularly occurring author, this is God" right here verse from the Upanishads communicate over with the assumption of God: "Ekam evadvitiyam" "he's One purely without a 2d." [Chandogya Upanishad 6:2:a million]a million In Buddism there is not any thought of God even although some Buddist have faith in one God. So all of us can meet on one element that there is one terrific being ,i.e The Almighty God and he's the only one.

I work with a charity organization that is unique in many ways, not the least of which is the board of directors: A Wiccan priestess, a voodoo papa, a Methodist minister, a Catholic priest, and a Muslim imam. That wasn't planned; it just happened that way--and they all agree on feeding, clothing, and sheltering those who need it.

As humans, there is a point where we all meet. At birth we met face to face with the outside physical realm. It is the beginning of our journey. We all start at the same point. Where we end??? Some of us get to the end point, but not all of us.

Most people, from the most zealot Christian to the most ardent atheist, are more alike than different. Most of our views and values are the same. It's just that we concentrate mostly on our differences.
