I need to compile a list of how long each service at the hairdressers usually takes, eg a cut & blow dry, a perm, a colour etc etc HELP!

I tried google... no luck. I don't need the EXACT time, just an estimate for my assisting with reception duties in a salon (a rough estimate for customer enquiries etc)

This is the link to the City and Guilds NVQ Level 2 LogBook for hairdressing, if you scroll to page 221, there is a list of the maximum services times allowed for different services: http://www.city-and-guilds.co.uk/documents/ind_hospitality-catering/TS-02-3014_web.pdf

I was a hairdresser, are you doing your list for your NVQ? I hope this will help you
A cut and blow dry is 45mins
A perm including a cut styling etc is an hr to hr and half
Colouring is the same as perm
Set is 30min including dressing out
If you need any more info please email me and I'll try to help ;)

Depends on the services and type of hair...coloring long hair takes longer than short hair.....perms vary on hair length....conditioning may add a step.....I don't think this is available info....If you rush a job based on a time table, you can really botch a job and have an unhappy customer who may sue you....

Usually, that is too long for me. I believe it depends on the guy as well as his face though. Certain guys can easily pull off long hair and others can't.
