My boyfriend is away for a while and I want to show him I miss him and am thinking of him. Obviously if it was the other way round then flowers and chocolates would be the easy solution, but what do girls send guys? I think flowers are a bit girly and not sure he'd really appreciate them and may get laughed at by his mates! Ideas please! helim gift balloons good or bad?

Balloons are good but if hes living with guys what he will do is take the air out of them and change his voice with them...not so cool. What about a gift card from Walmart {if he can go out like that} you can get your picture put on the card; what about a single card one saying I love you and I miss you or something; is he into sports? You could get him something doing with his favorite team and send it to him. I hope these have helped you.

Depending on your guy, balloons might be too girlie too.
If you would get him something like that for his birthday, an anniversary, etc. then go for it with a stuff animal and some candy too.
If you wouldn't normally do this, then don't now. It would only be awkward.
Depending on where he is staying, there are other things you can do.
If he is in a hotel, call them up and tell them you want to do something nice for him. They can help you set it up. They could do room service and leave a gift in his room (that you have purchased and have delivered-lots of places will do this over the phone).
Or...if he's staying with friends or family, get them to help you.
If he's staying with guy friends, maybe you could arrange for them to go to a concert or pay for them to go out to eat someplace manly.
Have a cake delivered to him and send him a card. Places will do that too.
Think about what he's in to and use that to find something he'd really like.
I wouldn't suggest sexy photos because those can fall into the wrong hands, but try sending him some sexy lingerie (for you) and a card reminding him that you can't wait for him to come home so you can model them for him. Don't forget to spray them with your perfum.

Personally, I myself would just be satisfied with a letter saying how much my baby misses me, see, a letter says that you took time out of your busy day to sit down and carefully think about him, and how much you miss him, and that you want this to be a special thing. To me that is the best thing you can give someone, time it takes to say I Love You in your own special way. You didn't take the cheap way out with store bought cards and gifts. Show him that you really care.
