Hmm, I don't know what happens, but we have one prison called Litla-Hraun and then only prison homes - you have a little room in a big house and can't go anywhere.. like detention. hehe... The homes are called prisons and they are for those you only get like couple of months, the homes aren't big, they can only have about 20 prisoners. Litla-Hraun is the largest prison in Iceland, but it can only have 87 prisoners which is about 63% of all prisoners-space we have. So it isn't big, but still the biggest. Part of the building was first built as a hospital but it was never used as one. The prisoners have good facility to play sports there for the prisoners, there is this sport-room (don't know what it's in english) where they can play for example soccer and there is also a gym. The prisoners have to work, for example to make license plates. They can study, distant learning from a college. That's it: http://www.vernd.is/html/litla_hraun.html everything is of course in Icelandic, but there are some pics.

It's not like being sent to a freezer, you won't freeze to death, there isn't even given a death penalty here, I've never heard of anyone who got more then 10 years, maybe 15 years even for murder, it's just how it is. Also, living in Iceland is not like living in a freezer..oh ignorant people.

Probably much the same as in other countries: you get strip searched, get a prison uniform, locked in a cell, have certain routines and procedures to follow, etc., serve your sentence and get let out?
Iceland is a pretty advanced and liberal country so it probably won't be so severe that it might be in some places.
If you wanna talk about this more, e.-mail me and tell me
more about your situation. I'll then give you as intelligent info
I can.

When they put you in a jail in Iceland
You feel lonely and sad and blue
You can't get any snack foods
Oh, darling, this is true.

When they put you in a jail in Iceland
They might let you read a book
Which is harder than researching it on Wikipedia
So since you're free, why not go take a look?

When they put you in a jail in Iceland
They will smile at you and then smirk.
The only phone call you get to make is to your teacher
To explain why you missed the point of your assigned homework.

easily, how is it justified to scouse borrow money from the commonplace citizen/taxpayer and supply it to wealthy fatcat business corporation specialists and overpayed union workers on the fee of increasing fees for amenities and lost earnings for human beings? that's unfair.

Not sure but why don't you check with the embassy for their country? That would most likely be the best place to start.

I would imagine they put you in a cell, just like all other jails
