I often go into the store, late at night, to pick up a few items or just browse around. Lately, I've been experiencing random women attempting to strike up conversations with me, or making a point of saying hello to me, or "coincidentally" crossing my path multiple times.

For example, I was in Walmart the other night, and this happened. This one woman crossed my path a few times before finally driving her cart towards me, looking me straight in the eyes, and saying "How are you doing toinght?" I said, "fine, thanks" and kept on walking the opposite direction. I didn't know what to think.

A similar thing happened around Halloween. I was in the Walmart, late at night, and a woman stopped me and tried to make conversation about a Halloween display.

Are these chicks trying to hit on me? If so, could I be anymore clueless?

Yeah, they are trying to hit on you. Most women won't glance your way if they don't want to talk to you for some reason other than to hit on you. I wouldn't talk about a Halloween display unless I was trying to get your attention. So, next time engage in the conversation! You may end up with a date.

Omg! I've had the same thing happen! You gave them the benefit of the doubt that they weren't hitting on you when you should probe a little further. You must not like sex. You're killing me. You say "fine, thanks" and walk away? It's okay, I've had my share of those too. Yes - they may have been hitting on you. Just ask one next time "Are you hitting on me?" and when she says yes run like lightning in the opposite direction.

Well, it's a nice noncommittal and no pressure place to hook up with someone. You could ask questions about where to find something or what their opinion is without feeling stupid Yes, they probably are trying to hit on you, but because it is such a safe ground, they can back out quickly if things turn weird.

Yes, it is what it seems, and yes you are as clueless as they come. Try having a conversation next time, not unless you just aren't interested....

It seems to me as if they are trying to hit on you. To be sure, next time it happens you should indulge them in a conversation.
What's the worst that can happen?
