I am doing a project on world religions and I want to know what Buddhists, Muslims, and Christians say about where you go. I am a Christian, so I already know what happens, but I need a Buddhist and Muslim point of view too. I would like other Christians input also. A few links as to where I could read more stuff about this on the internet would be helpful too. No sarcastic remarks, only serious answers please.

To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. What happens with you after that is answered by what you did about Jesus. If you accepted His free gift of salvation, repented from sins, you will be with Him forever - if not you will be separated from Him forever.

once I die, others will nevertheless be alive getting on with their lives. possibly i'd prefer to think of a few would mourn my dying, yet that relies upon on what I did in existence. once I die, I would be not greater, so I heavily isn't huge unsleeping and for this reason I heavily isn't able to comprehend what happens following my dying. So there is not any factor annoying approximately it.

Personally, I believe in reincarnation and karma. But I'm agnostic, and don't follow any particular denomination. I think that souls are reincarnated and depending on how they were in a past life, they will be hit by a certain type of karma.

I think hell exists for those who, deep down, wish for punishment. Hell is only given to the guilt-ridden and masochistic, in my opinion, and no snarkiness implied there.

Afterlife is a huge subject to study.
Islamic belief on afterlife is this:

When a person dies....right after he/she is buried, 2 angels come to question him. These angels will ask him 3 questions:
Who is your Lord?
What is your religion?
Who is your Messenger (last messenger)? And with this question he will be shown Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

Those who were righteous will answer them quickly and easily.
But those who did not believe and obey Allah will not be able to answer.

Then that person, if he/she was good, will rest in his/her grave until the Day of Judgment.
But if he/she were bad and disobeyed Allah, they will be punished until the Day of Judgment.

As per Hinduism, the soul after leaving the body goes to some astral levels (u can call it heaven or hell).. exhausts its subtle bad/good desires and takes another life to learn new lessons of life, without of course the gross memory of last birth!

The final aim of humans is to merge in the supreme consciousness (god) and see the drama of the universe as a witness, not as a player!!

no, you do not know what happen, you just know a bad theory of what happen.

Nothing happen, we just die, our brain just do not work any more, and that's the end, this is sad and scare people. This how the religions starts, just to make people feel security and "immortality", but that's not true.
