I believe many do.

Some do, some don't. I was a non believer. Then one day I was touched by the hand of God. He healed me in a split second, during a prayer. I can understand where Atheists are coming from. Because, I was one. Now I follow the Bible.

Your dream is very positive. You're lying back watching the clouds just as you are watching the events in your life go by. Everything has clarity and definition, and there is variety as well. You're in a relaxed position indicating that you feel strong and confident about the way things are progressing. The sun feels good and colorful butterflies surround you. These are all the options and opportunities that you have right now, and they are plentiful. They can also signify the people in your life right now. Bright, energetic and beautiful, you are surrounded by positive energy from most every direction. This is a wonderful time for you where you are the one who's in charge of your life, and things are going extremely well. Seize some of those opportunities!

Those that have been touched by what they percieve to be God, can easily be misguided. In this era of everyone interpreting their own personal Jesus, ie, your Jesus isn't quite like my Jesus....it is extremely easy.

We need the Original Organic Faith of Orthodox Christianity which comes directly from the Apostles!

The Church that God started is the one to be in.

Dear TTC:

Not everyone studies the OT continuously, nor does everyone stay strictly with the NT. I am one who studies other religious/spiritual books along with the Bibles. So, I think your question is how can you know the validity of an "experience" of God and not feel unsafe - if the experience is not guided by the Bible.

Religious/Spiritual experience is a gift to us for our reaching out toward our Creator. Those experiences should be suffused in love and give you a direct feeling of that love. That is a genuine experience. To obtain safe, valid experiences, you may try the following:

Through spiritual study (Christian, but non-denominational) I have learned to hear the Voice for God, the Holy Spirit (His non-tonal voice) and the clear and recognizable voice of Jesus. Now, how does one do this? And, how can you be sure you are not listening to a demonic voice? Remember, however, that the disciples heard the voice of the Holy Spirit and Jesus - so are you to be different? Would you learn more if you could HEAR Them? Access is simply by invitation. Ask Jesus to be your Teacher.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit, Who present God's Knowledge and love to you, are recognizable by offering higher Thought. Lower thoughts are of the physical; they are heavier thoughts about bodies, pleasuring self through body, attack, self interest, individuality, manipulation of personality, anger, defensive-ness, etc..The list goes on. . ..

Higher thoughts focus on totality or One-ness, Honesty (consistency in action that follows words - no covert-ness) Trust, Humility, Gentleness, Tolerance, Generosity, Patience, Joy, Defenseless-ness and Open-Minded-ness ; for a few topics!

They are thoughts of a higher order. If you are receiving thoughts of higher order and instruction about them, you are in the realm of the Holy Spirit and Jesus, or any great teacher.

Higher Thoughts bring nothing but more devotion from you toward your Creator and also toward your brothers and sisters. They harm no one - and nothing.

If you are receiving such. . .you can feel and rest assured you are in safe territory. It takes awareness of your thoughts. Not absent-mindedly thinking, or lacking in aware-ness of what is passing through your conscious Mind.

Direct revelation from God to you can also occur, but it takes some degree of spiritual purification of your Mind to have this occur, normally. Jesus, and/or other great teachers, can bring you to purity of Mind.

Best regards, Lana

No, simply because God is always seeking to lead those who love him into a better understanding. God is not flawed, mankind is. If scripture were perfect God wouldn't have sent his prophets or his own son for us to change our ways. So, Gods real prophets are those who give us better insight, free of charge.
