Also, why are there gay-tolerant Christians sitting in the same boat with gay-hating Christians?

We KNOW that the truth of the Bible isn't just in the way the words are used, but in the way they effect our hearts and souls. As for your "boat," Hate the sin, love the sinner. Homosexuality IS a sin.

Why is it necessary to argue a point of religion when Jesus teaches that tolerance is the way. There is no specific "right" religion and the Holy Fathers indicate that there are many paths to the same goal. Is not compromise and acceptance of all persons what is indicated in the Bible, Quoran, Torah, and other mainstream religious publications. This even includes Buddhist and Hindi texts since many of them were promoting religious tolerance before Christ.

Sunday mornings are the most segregated time in the United States amoung 'Christians" we all split up into our own denominaitons, often segregated by race, and worship in our own way. After worship we go out into the world to tell others about our relationship with God... most often if someone else says they are a Christian we assume they either believe what we do, or, that they at least believe what we believe is most important. We turn our attention to those who do not identify as Christian ... thinking that is really what is most important... regardless of the details of theology and interpretation. I actually have a lot of conversations with other Christians in disagreement about homosexuality, because I am 'out' and a person of faith... and a lot of us gather, like everyone else, in 'another' segregated boat. because we are all people and have differences in opinion. christians do argue over bible interpretations. that is why we have different denominations, different churches with differing doctrines. people in the bible couldn't agree with each other who Jesus was. nothing new under the sun. lucifer, satan and the devil are all the same. satan rules the earth until Jesus comes back.

Oh christians argue all the time! Of course just like anyone they usually target the opinion _most_ different from their own. Like the proverb says "Me against my brother, me and my brother against my cousin" etc.

If all the atheists and muslims and such stopped talking for a while, we'd eventually see a bunch of people arguing about the nature of the communion and such-like.

Perhaps that's the best way to defeat the christian war machine- give it no target but itself.

how do u know this information yet not know why. ur just asuming on limited speculation.
lucifir means light, (u may kno the girl name for this; lucy) lucifir was "the brightest star in heaven" meaning he was the biggest and most beautiful angel in heaven. but he decicded to hate God, and there was a great battle among the angels of God and the fallen angels, and Saint Michael, for his enthusiastic attitude in throwing the devil out of paradise, was raised from the second to last rank to the place lucifir had vacanted.
yea, i just felt like tellin that story since i love it.

Intellectualizing is the very thing keeping you from the spiritual level or, the practice of righteousness.. is where the lower aspect of the mind (emotions) are allowed to sway one away from where their mind should be.

There are too many things to accomplish without becoming stuck in the intellectual pursuits of selfishness and being right all the time.

Oh believe me, I argue more with other Christians who don't quite agree with me than I do with non Christians who don't agree with me at all. Mainly because the first sort of argument is always more civilised

Ok, Homosexuality is a sin, but to lie is a sin too.
And we have all lied.
So because some right wing people decide to put more weight on the gay sin than the other sins?? - -Who decides which sins mean more??
I just don't feel it is my place to judge someone.

1st Corinthians explains how conflict inside the Church is supposed to be handled. Now most Christians don't really follow what Paul says, but it is there.
