nothing is free with a puppy; there is food , shots, etc. They are not cheap ; even a shelter will charge a fee and require the dog to be fixed; make sure you can afford time, patience, understanding and money before looking for a free pup
also the answers here about taking pups to the pound; get your dog fixed so you don't wind up as an irresponsible dog owner. Try animal rescues to take the pups ; they are on the internet if you can't find homes for all the pups.

We got our puppy for free by accident really. Someone I knew was going to take her to the pound because they just couldn't have a dog, so I took her. In a week, she has already cost me $50.00 in food, vet bill and a few toys. Finding a free puppy is great, but the money you spend on him/her will add up quickly, be sure you can afford that. Vet visits are a must!

Unless people are rehoming their dogs (and rarely it's puppies), it's difficult to find a free one... If you consider paying adoption fee which is only a fraction of price dogs are sold for, you might be lucky looking into local shelters and adoption centers.

i am about 2.5 hours from you . my friends dog just had pupps and they are ready to go. he was going to take them to the pound but they told him they would put them right to sleep. so he took them back home and is still stuck with 5 of them

try posting an ad in the local paper or try posting one on www.tradensell.net . you can also find them on trade n sell too sometimes.... good luck!!!
