In terms of mass/weight ratio. Muscle takes about 1/3 the mass for the same weight of fat. 1 cubic inch of muscle weighs about 3 times the same volume of fat.
The a pound is a pound answer is moronic, a pound of feathers is equal to a pound of lead but the volume required is probably 10000x feathers to lead.
Scientifically, weight is related to volume, so yes muscle weighs more than fat.

It's not that muscle weighs more than fat, a pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. But a pound of fat would look 2-3 times the size of a pound of muscle, because muscle is much more dense than fat. HTH : )

No. A pound of feathers weighs the same as a pound of nails.
Muscle is more dense and takes up less space.

No, a pound is a pound. With weight training, you'll see yourself getting leaner and your clothes fitting better, but there's a really good chance you wouldn't see the scale move down too much. Knowing your body fat percentage is helpful.

yes because muscle is denser than fat is. honestly having more fat isnt healthy, and you can have any weight and be healthy, its all about the amount of body fat you have in comparison to your body's muscle.
