Home Depot has a video how to install hardwood floor and one for the laminate. Some libraries have it too. Good luck!

I installed laminate in our dining room, and kitchen with very little effort. It was the first time I had tried flooring. The worst thing is the connecting the carpeted area with the laminiated floor.
Be sure it measure, and split the partial on each side, so you will not end up with a very small piece at the end of a room.
Get some knee pads. you will appreciate them when you are finished

Yes; my brother and I did it. It was surprisingly easy and only took one afternoon. If you check out http://www.installing-laminate-flooring.com/ they provide a free installation download. Good luck; the final results are wonderful!!

My fiance did. It's easy. I could probably have done it myself. Get pre-finished as sanding and polyurethane are the hard part.
